OUR COACHES

We are committed to bringing on coaches/instructors that will be involved in the direction, instruction and training of participants.

The Pop Warner program we have partnered with REQUIRE that all participants have and maintain a 2.0 GPA in order to be eligible to participate. Therefore, our Coaches will be actively involved in the supervision and coordination of the study hall and tutoring services available to our participants. In addition, our Coaches would be instrumental in evaluating the participants progress in their academics, progress and behavior to help determine if additional attention or assistance is needed to help the respective child advance and put in the best position to become successful as not only a student-athlete but as a member of society. The athletic commitment required of the Coaches will commence in at the beginning of each respective season and run through seasons end, contingent on how far the team advances into the post-season. The academic commitment required of our Coaches will run through the duration of the season as well as during the following semester. We are currently providing a study hall environment and tutoring services four days a week at the locations where practices are held, prior to the practice times.

The roles of our Coaches pertaining to athletics will be determined by the head coach that they will be serving under and based on their experience, education as well as how quickly they develop as a within our program. Their duties will include but not be limited to the personal development and growth of the individual on and off the field with the resources provided to them to ensure that their successes carry over off the field. This includes teaching our participants the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, accountability and integrity in addition to sport and position specific development as well as an opportunity to assist the head coach with scheming and game planning.

Athletically, the coaches commitment would run through the duration of the football season, from August to November, with practices held Tuesday through Friday in the afternoons with games on Saturdays.

Academically, the coaches would be instrumental in ensuring the participants attend and participate in our study hall and tutorial programs to ensure that they satisfy not only the Pop Warner leagues academic requirements, but also those of their respective schools.

Each Coach will be evaluated by the current staff and commissioner to determine what age level and team they would serve as the greatest asset to our participants and program. This will also include the organization and maintenance of our program and league operations.

Prior to the each season, all coaches are required to attend and pass a coaching education course as well as collaborating with USA Football and its Heads Up Football program.

The goal is to ensure that all coaches are certified by USA Football to teach proper blocking and tackling techniques in a better and safer way.

Support mechanisms for our coaches will include advanced education provided by our program partner USA Football to ensure that every coach is properly certified and suitable to work with our youth.

In addition, our coaches will have an opportunity to work side-by-side and learn from current and former professional athletes that we have partnered with to provide free youth camps and clinics to our participants.
